Construction, (Design & Management) 2015

The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM) is legislation that controls all aspects of health and safety in the construction industry.

CDM was updated on 6 April 2015. It sets out what people involved in construction work need to do to protect themselves and anyone the work affects from harm. Amongst other changes the update made the legislation applicable in a residential setting, primarily to reduce the risks on smaller scale residential developments.

As designers of constructional projects we have a responsibility to inform you of CDM before the commencement of any design work.

Domestic Clients

As domestic clients you have the ability to transfer your responsibilities to a contractor for single contractor project or principal contractor for projects with more than one contractor.

By negotiation we can offer further assistance with CDM 2015 and have the resources to act as a principle designer for projects.  However, we reserve the right to act with discretion on offering this service and if a written agreement is not in place the duties will automatically pass to the principle contractor.
